INTRODUCTION TO THE AP COURSE GUIDE |
OPENER: *Awesome* Job on the norms yesterday. The sub was most impressed and gave particular shout-outs to Ivy, Reese & Spencer! Thank you SOOO much! It is very gratifying to have such glowing reports from the sub! Let's wrap that up by sorting those norms into the three TIDE WAY categories and we'll be good to go. LEARNING TARGET I will gain a working understanding of how to digest the AP Course Guide during today's class. WORK O' THE DAY How did everything go with code.org and AP sign ups? Any glitches or anything I can help with? Did you get a chance to check out the AP Course document? Let's take a gander but I'll leave to you as to just HOW much time you want to spend on that since we'll be going into all of that on a daily basis this semester. Having said that, the AP is trying to be really transparent (what does THAT mean?) with their learning expectations. Some of their language can be a big jargon-ish and full of education-ese, it's my job to help translate that into actual targets that make sense here in the classroom. Towards that end, notice our UNITS page and you'll see how I've tried to make the learning targets a wee bit more understandable. ═════════════════════
